    A Rebalancing Act - OBDAF Cluster Researchers Featured

    Congratulations to cluster researchers Dr. Brain Dalton and Dr. Vicki Komisar and their trainees, who were recently featured in a UBC News article for their research work on human balance and falls. Drs. Dalton and Komisar have ongoing collaborations to understand balance and falls from different research lenses, including biomechanics, motor control, and gerontology.

    PURE Grant Awarded for Cluster Initiative

    We are delighted to announce that OBDAF cluster members Drs. Jean-Sébastien Blouin and Michael Hunt have been awarded funding of the Program for Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE) from UBC for an initiative: “Undergraduate Research Rotation in Balance Assessment and Rehabilitation”.

    We are supporting Student & Post Doc Travel Awards!

    We are pleased to announce that the cluster is providing 5 travel awards up to $1200 each, to help fund trainees and postdocs to travel to a cluster affiliated lab in order to learn techniques and/or collect pilot data in support of collaborative research on balance and falls.
