Dylan Kobsar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University. His research is aimed at making biomechanics and human movement analyses more clinically relevant and accessible to those in need. Specifically, this research focuses on adults with musculoskeletal disorders or injuries, such as osteoarthritis or running injuries, with the goal of improving the quality of life and long-term outcomes for these individuals. To do so, his research has utilized novel technologies (e.g., motion capture systems, wearable sensors, and depth cameras) and innovative analyses (e.g., machine learning) to uncover the hidden, but clinically important, patterns in human movement data.
