Dr. Martin Simoneau
Professor
Kinesiology
Faculty of Medicine
Professor Simoneau takes a multidisciplinary approach combining experimental approaches with advanced signals processing and modelling. He is mainly interested in how the brain combines sensory information from vestibular organs, eyes, muscles and skin to select proper motor commands in order to control movement. His long-term goal is to better understand the sensorimotor integration processes that control human movement and balance.
Dr. Simoneau works as a researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation and Social Integration (CIRRIS) in Quebec, and is a professor at Laval University where he completed his PhD prior to conducting his Postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University, Chicago.
