Annika Szarka
PhD Student
Kinesiology
2024 September - 2028 August
Annika completed her B.Kin. in 2022 and her M.Sc. in 2024 in the School of Kinesiology. During her undergraduate degree, she completed a directed studies project examining the contribution of proprioceptive feedback to implicit sensorimotor adaptation. Her Master’s thesis work focused on understanding the roles of afferent and efferent mechanisms in implicit adaptation, and their inclusion in computational models of sensorimotor adaptation. She plans to continue this line of study during her PhD, where she will examine the underlying error signals driving implicit adaptation. If Annika isn’t in the lab, you can find her dancing at Harbour or spinning at Ride.
