Biomedical Engineering

September 2023 to August 2025

Daniel completed his B.Sc. in Biology with a minor in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. Following this, he began a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering in 2023 also at UBC. His research focuses on exploring both the acute and longitudinal consequences of sub-concussive and concussive head impact exposure in a sporting environment. This includes modalities such as neuroimaging, neurological assessments, and balance & posture testing. Supervised by Dr. Lyndia Wu, Daniel’s thesis work is focused on associating head impact exposure in contact sports with these behavioural, functional, and neurostructural changes.
