Gregg Eschelmuller
PhD Student
School of Kinesiology
Faculty of Education
2022 - 2025 (expected)
Gregg completed his BKin in Kinesiology and Heath Sciences and his MSc under the supervision of Dr. J. Timothy Inglis at UBC. His undergraduate and MSc research focused on proprioceptive reflex pathways, and their role in standing balance and upper limb control. He is currently completing his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Romeo Chua and Dr. J. Timothy Inglis, where his research focuses on how proprioceptive feedback is used in voluntary motor control. Specifically, he is interested in how the sensory feedback from muscles around a joint are used by the central nervous system in the computation of joint angle and how this computation is used to perform goal directed actions. In his spare time Gregg likes to play lots of tennis and go skiing.
