Zaryan completed his BSc. in 2020 and his MSc. in biomechanics in 2022 both from McMaster University. During his MSc., Zaryan worked under the supervision of Dr. Dylan Kobsar where he used inertial measurement units to examine osteoarthritic gait patterns. In September 2022, Zaryan then started his PhD in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Lyndia Wu where he currently studies head impact biomechanics and concussion using instrumented mouthguards. Most recently, Zaryan is working on understanding the effects of repetitive head impacts on standing balance in varsity contact sport athletes.
