Stroke disrupts the descending control over motorneurons and interneurons in the spinal cord, resulting in impaired control of movement and balance. This project examines the changes in multi-segment reflexes during standing, as well as the reciprocal relationship between antagonistic ankle muscles – dorsiflexors and plantar flexors.
