2024 September - Now
Dr. Best earned his BASc in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University in 2019, with a focus on biomechanics. He continued at Queen’s University for his PhD in Mechanical Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Amy Wu in the Biomechanics x Robotics Lab. His doctoral research focused on exploring the interaction between various balancing strategies in unique scenarios. In September 2024, Dr. Best joined the Neural Control of Posture and Movement Laboratory to work with Dr. Mark Carpenter. Currently, he is developing predictive simulations of dynamic balance to enhance rehabilitation practices for fall prevention.
