Keara completed her BSc(Hons) in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph and a master's in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her current PhD thesis examines how individual motor units are modulated by sensory perturbations and psychological states during standing balance. By investigating neural mechanisms at the motor unit level, her work aims to reveal how the nervous system integrates sensory feedback and responds to postural threat to maintain stability.
