Mobilizing Knowledge to Promote Brain Health and Healthy Aging [Mobility, Balance and Falls Prevention]

Dr. Mark Carpenter was invited to speak at the Reach for SKY seminar, titled “Mobilizing Knowledge to Promote Brain Health and Healthy Aging: Mobility, Balance and Falls Prevention.” The event was held at the Bowen Island Community Centre and attended by older adults and SKY members interested in maintaining balance and mobility as they age. During his presentation, Dr. Carpenter discussed the importance of posture, balance, and fear of falling in relation to healthy aging and fall prevention. The session included practical tips for reducing fall risk and maintaining mobility and independence in later life.
 
The event was organized by the SKY (Seniors Keeping Young) Program and supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
