The Origins of Balance Deficits and Falls (OBDAF) Research Cluster hosted a
Summer School on "Wearable Sensors for Balance & Movement"!
From August 12th to 16th, 38 graduate students, post-doctorates and clinicians gathered at the University of British Columbia for a week-long summer school on wearable sensors and movement. The students learned about the theory, applications and limitations of wearable sensors and how to use them in a clinically meaningful situation. They also attended fascinating seminars in the morning given by 12 keynote speakers from all-over Canada. Furthermore, the students were tasked with creating a project based on assigned topics and presented on the last day.
